Hello and welcome to my blog. I decided to start this blog in order to share a little more information about my craft and myself. I have a B.A. in psychology and a background in business management. I have completed several certificate courses in jewelry making and I am proficient in many areas of jewelry making. These include goldsmithing, wax model making, and stone setting.
I had been making jewelry for several years when I began making wedding crowns (stefana) in 2007. This began after my friends and I had become disappointed by the lack of tasteful and affordable wedding crowns available in the U.S. The wedding crowns available also seemed dated and were not on trend with the more fashion forward looks available in Greece. After making crowns for several friends and family, I decided to open my Etsy shop Plus 1 Stefana in May of 2008. Until now, I have gained most of my clients through word of mouth. I have only recently decided to pursue making wedding crowns and jewelry full time and to establish a greater web presence. Using only the finest quality materials, my goal is to bring you affordable wedding crowns that are in tune with current bridal fashion in Greece.
